Are you asking if you can use your cingular phone as a prepaid phone? With a cingular prepaid plan, yes you should be able to. Simply go to a Cingular store and buy a sim card.
For another GSM carrier, get the phone unlocked first and then go to T-mobile and buy a sim card. The phone will not work with CDMA carriers such as Sprint and Verizon.

I had a cingular plan with a motorola phone. My question is can I use the phone which I purchased as a tract or buy the cards that have time on them and how do I do this? Do I purchase a new sim card and where would I get it? Thanks for your help. DMC
