VGA is pretty basic on phones nowadays. Megapixel is better, as it gives a better, sharper picture. Most phones have 1.3mp, but some have 2mp and a few are moving into the 3mp range. I'd personally reccomend the highest one you can afford, as it makes a LOT of difference to the quality of the picture - especially when you put tem on your pc. VGA is acceptable on some phones, but tends to come out a little blurred and with some detail loss. Megapixel phones usually pick up most of the detail, but to really get a good picture, go for one with "autofocus". K750i, W800i, W810i, K800i etc from Sony Ericsson all have this feature. The K750i on 02 has been reduced to £100. That's a very good choice to start with - especially for the price.
