All 171 songs were mp3 format... I don't think my OS even read WMA...

Can anybody tell me if I'm the only one experiencing this lag when I have many songs on my phone? I actually formatted my card, copied 50 songs instead of the 171 I had before, but the cursor is still delayed a lot... So if I want to select each and every song to my playlist - I would have to sit with it for a long while... There's no 'check all' option...

Is this the same case with the original US version you get with Verizon?

I had about 190 songs loaded and didn’t realize some didn’t show up until I read your post. I started with all mp3’s and some of them worked but about 2/3’s didn’t. I went to mostly wma’s I converted from mp3’s only because it was a pain to check those that didn’t load. The wma’s are much larger than the mp3’s.

Anyway now I guess I should use wma’s only?

I had the same problem til I figured out the .wma thing but then some wmas won't play on my a930. ALso, I tried putting midi files and wavs onto the My Sounds folder of my microSD but the phone won't recognize them! But the phone still kicks ass. I love it.

    Peace

have you checked the format? my phone will only read wma format songs. check that and reply here. chances are that the 40 it will play are already in the wma format, and the others are in mp3. for some reason, samsung decided to only play Wma audio.freaks.

    Hi!

I own this phone outside the States and I need information from Verizon customers with this phone. My provider has ripped the operating system apart and put their own (for the sake of blocking many good features).

I have a 1GB card and I copied 773mb onto it (that's 171 songs). Now in card usage it says 171 songs but in the playlist selector I see only around 40. Also the navigation in the playlist songs takes around 5-6 seconds delay from pressing 'down' key until the cursor actually moves so it's kind of impossible to select 40 songs for playing (I wonder what would happen if it actually showed 171).

I want to know if this happens on the Verizon OS as well - for the sake of yelling at my provider that it's the fault of their lame OS put together in 2 weeks.

    Thanks a lot in advance!
    Tal.
