Unless you like paying 3 bucks for ring tones, stay away from the SK3.

I have had the V and the chocolate, I gave up the V for the chocolate and definately prefer it to the V. The keyboard on the V is nice, but its such a bulky device that I didnt like it. You can type almost just as fast on the number pad when you get used to it so it is no big deal keyboard or not. The chocolate has the fancy menus and graphics too, though the battery life is pretty weak.

Oops, forgot about that plan. Of course, this I cannot do, as I need a family plan. My dad will probably get a pearl, though.

When you get a Blackberry, Sidekick, or other smartphone with a voice plan, the data is actually cheaper. Look, when you click on data plans on the T-Mobile.com website, it says that the sidekick data is $30/month, but that plan actually will only get you data and calls are $0.20/min. But, click on phones, and select a Sidekick and voice plan, you'll notice that the Sidekick Unlimited plan is decreased to $20. Ditto for the Blackberry, but it doesn't have texting, unlike the data-only Blackberry plans you showed.

Considering how active this topic is, only 2 people voted this?!?! Both of them voted Sidekick 3.

Gee... looks like no one wants to vote here.

Have you seen the A940? People are trying to compare it to a RAZR when it's 2.6 ounces heavier than the RAZR!

Oh, by the way, did I mention that you're the luckiest person in the world? You're where I want to be in two months.

The Sprint one is also pretty on the front but VERY flimsy on the back (the plastic battery fell out when I dropped it). The UI on the Sprint one is terrible, and both of them have ridiculous ringtones.

6.5 ounces won't be too bad. Just imagine a regular iPod being your phone. They've about the same weight. The Samsungs are already about that heavy anyways.....

Plus, the multimedia I've heard was done very poorly on the Pearl, and while it's a solid phone, the keys seem rather flimsy. Plus, the Sidekick looks so much cooler.
