The RAZR V3 is quad-band (850/900/1800/1900) so it will work anywhere that has GSM service, except South Korea and Japan (which technically don't have GSM anyway).

They are small, and they seem to be in financial diffculty. The NASDAQ exchange has warned they are being delisted. I think it happened this week.

How big is SunCom? Where do they fall in the list of big operators?

I bought an unlocked Tmobile MDA on eBay for a lot less than Suncom wants for a K-jam with a contract, and put my Suncom SIM in it and it works fine.

I currently use SunCom but want to buy a better phone but they will not give me a break on a better phone for another year. I see that I can buy an unlocked phone on the internet. How do you know if the unlocked phone will work with my Suncom sim card? I saw on one site that you need to know the GSM frequencies which your provider uses. I called sunCom and the CR rep would not or could not give that info. I am trying to buy a Motorola Razr V3 phone. Any help would be appreciated.
