    Virgin Mobile and T-Mobile have affordable phones and 'not-so-bad' rates.

    You have to buy the right cards for these phones, though.

    (ie. Virgin Mobile phones must use Virgin Mobile Top-Up cards.)

    I was wondering how prepaid phones work. Like can you buy say a Alltel prepaid phone and use a Tracfone card or any other card with it. Like I know someone with a Tracfone and as long as he doenst use his mins up he doenst have to buy a refill card until next year.
