I just bought an 8300 on ebay last week to replace my 3100, and I am very pleased. The first phone call I made to my dad was 100% clearer than the 3100 and I can hear everything that's said on the other end. And to think, this phone is used, but still much better than the 3100.

i had a sanyo 8300 great phone i just upgraded to a katana 6600 and i regret it i should have kept my 8300. my phone also has gotten wet many times and it worked

i love my sanyo 8300. da video could be better but its ok

I have had the 8300 since it came out. I dropped it in a mud puddle and it stayed there all night. Cleaned it up and it worked fine. On Easter Sunday of this year I went fishing and got dumped out of the boat with my phone in my pocket. At first all it would do was vibrate. I knew I had ruined it this time. I took the battery off the back and left it on the counter, prepared to go to the store the next day and get a new one. When I put it back together the next morning, it was working like a charm and had completely dried out. To this very day, I still use that exact phone. There is nothing wrong with the way it looks or the way it functions. I would recommend the 8300 over any phone. I tried the Blade for a bit but the battery life it terrible. I will stick with the 8300. They say the 8400 is coming out in July...hmmmmm

I use Qwest though. They don't list it on their site. Not sure if it's supported.
Although I'd really like to know if I could use any Sprint phone on Qwest's network, as it really is Sprint.
But I have a business account and can't afford to let them screw up and affect my business calls..
I do know that Qwest only supports CDMA.

its decent. a nice little phone, but if you have the money, you should go for the 7500. it has bluetooth, evdo, and 1 megapixel camera. and its a very durable phone, it wont scratch as easily as the 8300.

Personally I have had around 5 or 6 Sanyo phones when I had Sprint, but have never actually owned the 8300. I do sell that phone though in my store and out of personal expirence with Sanyo phones they have great reception with great battery life. The speakerphone on the 8300 is pretty loud and clear and camera quality isn't the best but definitely not the worst. IMO the Sanyo 8300 is a great choice.

I just bought a Sanyo SCP (MM) 8300.
Last phone I used for 6 years was a Kyrocera 3500, so you can say I upgraded.
I have two weeks to decide to keep this phone.
What do you think? Any advice?
