Like the above poster said the cell phone for soldiers is a great plan and so is the phone for abused women. Here are a few more:

    homeless to get a job
    for the aging
    big brothers
    cancer

    Here's a list for ya.

I have four cell phones and it never dawned on me that I had something to give the shelters. Thank you to the person that started this thread.

Want cash for your cell phone? You can do that too. Type in "Cell phone for cash" in the search engine and you'll get a ton.

I was always told the police dept donates used phones to battered women at homeless shelters.
I'm sure they can clear the phones for use even in case of lost/stollen.

I'm pretty sure the above mentioned site is a completely non profit organization, and if I recall correctly it was started up by a high school student.

I suggest you to go to the officially shop, so you can have them charge and clear phone's memory for you.

    Hi everyone

I have a couple of old phones i no longer want. I should give them to charity really (where can i do that?) but i am a bit worried about some of the stuff i may have on the phone memory (nothing dodgy! just contact numbers i wouldnt want to be nicked). I no longr have the chargers to charge up and clear them.

    What are my options?

    Thanks
