My reception's pretty good, I hear calls clearly and the same goes for the other person.

I have the phone. I wouldn't say its worth spending the money to get an unlocked version but thee reception is really bad every-time someone calls me i have to call them back and it very hard to hear them when they are talking to you.

    Hmm, that is unfortunate.

    Thanks for the reply.

...if your SCH-a870 has a SIM card... well, then it's not an SCH-a870! Further, CDMA phones do not use SIM cards, only GSM phones. Likewise, a GSM phone will not work on a CDMA network. Time to look at the LG VX8700 (assuming you are on Verizon). It is essentially the flip version of the Shine for CDMA networks.

Also, the a870 is a Tri-Mode phone, 2 digital bands and 1 analog band.
