Do anyone knows which is the comm port for the Sony Ericsson's HGE-100 GPS device? Is it AT5?

you can always build your app for european phones. most phones are not carrier specific here.

We just wrote an app for the iPhone that leverages the GPS. It's a great platform.

I want to start building it out on other GPS enabled phones--after reading the following:
    developer.sprint.com
    developer.t-mobile.com
    developer.att.com
    vzwdevelopers.com

    my head i spinning.

I can't determine a few things. How many of these carriers allow you to access the GPS via an API? Is there a cost? Is it the OS (Windows Mobile, RIM etc..) or the Carrier or the Handset that determines the access?

What is the right forum to start talking to others about the issue?

    Thanks,
    Scott
