2gb is plently for me. I would definitely recommend it for a standard user.

    Hi,

Cards are specific to handset make/models due to the software (called firmware) installed on each device.

To find out whether you need SD or SDHC then to find out what capacity size your phone will support, visit a web site (Unfortunatly, I've not posted enough on this forum to give you the site in its format so here goes an attempt to communicate the right spot for you.

    m for mobile
    followed by a period
then sandisk memory selector as one word
    then followed by com

Insert your mfg (RIM) and Model to get the Lab tested results by SanDisk (trusted memory card maker).

Let me know if you have any questions.

    Best Regards,
    Liz

Sandisk is the brand that ATT sells in the corporate stores. I own one and have never had a problem with it. Hope this helps.

FYI- and eight GB will hold about 2000 songs assuming the songs average 4 minutes each. Eight GB is also roughly 2400 minutes of video. Eight is overkill and I use a four GB so that what I suggest but it is all about your needs.

Thanks everyone ,,,, and thanks Ellen for the chart to go by....

I'm thinking a 2GB will be fine for me... I'm not going to put any full length songs on mine or anything.... mostly just pics and a few realtone ringtones... but more pics then anything....

    Once again... thanks everyone!

i have a 2gig microsd in my phone and it will hold alot of full length songs. I had over 100 on a 1 gig. So i diddnt see the need for a real expensive 8 gig card

I'd get a 2gb or 4gb micro SD. SDHC is a newer format and I'm not sure if it is supported in that model of BlackBerry yet. That'd be something to check out for sure before you go guy a card.

    Hi everyone!

In the past few weeks I have realized that I'm going to need a memory card to store all my pics, themes, and ringtones that I want on my BlackBerry.... but the thing is there is a few different types to choose from....

    I have found....

    1GB micro SD

    2GB micro SD

    4GB micro SDHC

    8GB micro SDHC

I don't really want to store complete songs on my BB.... I'm more interested in smaller files like realtones, pics (downloaded and ones I've took) and themes I would like to use.... I have the 8830 Wold Edition if anyone needs to know to help me with my question....

Thanks for reading,,,, and I hope someone can help me out! Thanks again!
