    My dear waqyum,

    you are right that earlier Nokia 5800 prior to its launch was known as TUBE. i totally agree with you that there are not enough applications for the Phone. but i know one website which has some good applications for the Nokia 5800.

    Nokia 5800 is a value for money phone.It is packed with all the latest features available on N95 and along with that a high resolution Touchscreen Display.5800 doesn't looks very attractive but is lightweight and has enormous potential.I have heard that 5800 has got an average quality camera which is not comparable to N95's camera,but the pictures taken by the phone look great on phone screen due to high resolution display.
    Being the first Nokia Touchscreen phone it has some bugs and will improve over the period of time with firmware updates.
    At present there are few applications available for 5800,but the scenario changing fast and newer applications are being developed.

    I love symbian s60 phones, but I think touchscreen phones are over rated.

    Nokia's new phone, the 5800 xpressmedia or also called the Tube is showing up in the news. We have caught a glimpse of its image in the new, "The Dark Knight" movie. It's a sleak little phone with the following specs:
    * Measurements: 111 × 52 × 14.5 mm, and weighs only 104 grams.
    * 16 million color TFT LCD
    * 640 × 360 pixel resolution
    * 16:9 display mode
    * Fifth edition of Symbian S60.
    * finger touch operation will provide vibration feedback function.
    * 3.2 megapixel Carl Zeiss optical lens with autofocus
    * Dual LED flash
    * Built-in GPS
    * 140 MB RAM
    * GSM / GPRS / EDGE / WCDMA / HSDPA / WLAN wireless networking and Bluetooth technology.
    * 3.5 mm Headset interface
    * TV-out interface
    * BL-5J 1150mah Battery
    I don't know much about the Symbian OS but this does look intriguing! Also, the phone is also rumored to be xpressmusic vs. xpressmedia.
    What are your opinions?
