Problem solved thanks to my daughter.

My daughter saw a clip on the side and when pressed let the SIM holder open.

    Thanks anyway.

    bye

    Dear Gurus,
this is my first post and it is a mechanical problem Yes I searched the FAQs but I didn't see anyone with my same problem...

......trying to lift the lid of the sim holder to extract the sim.......

The reason I want to do this is I just bought a nokia 7510, The man in the shop whipped the sim out of my old nokia 3120 and slid it smoothly into the sim holder and pushed it down, With the battery and cobers replaced, all seemed well, nice displays but just one little problem, an empty phonebook.

Quick rush to the internet and sure enough several articles explaining how to move the old mobile phonebook onto the sim and then put the sim in the new mobile to recover your phonebook.

In my case I have to remove the sim from the new mobile and to do that I need to remove the sim from the new 7510.

I can't see how to make the holder door open and the manual just says open it then shut it....nor could I find any internet help on opening the lid of the sim holder.

So if there is an existing FAQ or some button or spring I should be pressing or some illustration I'd be most grateful for advice.

    Bye and thanks
