As long as Android doesn't fall BEHIND, I'll be OK. I had a iPhone toting friend drooling over the Google Voice implementation on my G1. He makes a lot of international calls and it would save him a bundle.

Read some where else on the web that Garmin is making a phone with the "Android" platform along with other top mobile phone makers. (If I can find that article I'll post it).

Yes, and I hear there is a lot of great Android software coming. For example, Enkin is looking very exciting. I think the Android market store is doing amazing too, so it is getting its share of market. Maybe I get a G1.

I agree with google taking over this market as far as OS goes. It runs way smoother than MS's OS and i havent had a single crash on my G1 yet. On my old wing i had so many problems and such i couldn't count them.

I'm sorry my friends, Google will eventually take over. If it does really well in the limited market it's in now. I would say it's safe to say that we can start seeing more phones run the android system. I hope that happens I think Google is a great company, and can really make it happen.

Honestly with apple, symbian, and windows mobile. I think it will be hard for this to have any market share. But who knows I have seen crazier things. I honestly think that windows mobile is the one in biggest trouble for the long run.

"According to the head of Google’s mobile engineering team, Android will be treated just like any other mobile operating system.
Speaking at the companies London headquarters, Google’s mobile engineering director, Ann Mei Cheng stated that:
“The mobile team is separate from the Android team.”
“Android is just another device for us. We will certainly make sure that Google products run as well on Android as anything else.”
