i335 is a great choice if you dont need anything fancy. no camera or music player but its very rugged.

Military Spec 810 rugged... in other words, this thing can take a beating! if all you need is a very reliable and durable phone that has great sound quality (and is LOUD) that wont crap out on you mid-phone-conversation/text message, then go with an i335. i couldnt be a happier camper.

i'd try to buy one from a cell phone booth at the mall or something. those guys get paid on commission and if youre talking to the right guy, they can cut a deal with you. a great way to get a deal on a phone is use an old phone as trading power. just remember, you dont have to pay full retail on a phone! also, make friends with them, pay your bill at the same booth/store every month and stop by the store whenever you're around. build a relationship with the people there, and over time you'll be able to get some under-the-table-credits towards monthly payments... i do this on the regular...

Get a used one, perhaps? I'm sure you could look on ebay or something...

I bought my phone (ancient thing, but I like it. Could probably cause damage if thown at someone, lol!) on DotCells.com. I mean, they have mostly old models, but what they do have is pretty nice. You just have to pay attention to the condition rating. My phone's good as new though. Buying used isn't so bad.

Boost phones are pretty expensive... but most Motorola/Nextel phones work with Boost, so you don't necessarily have to get the models they sell on their website (I'd call a Boost store to confirm if a model works beforehand though). You just have to buy a Boost sim card as far as I know.

Does anyone if there is a way to get Boost Mobile phones cheaper than what they are charging on the website? Does anyone know if you call customer service directly if you can get a better deal or something? I did see the i465 on sale at Target last month for $69.99 but now it is back to $129.99 and I can't find an real sales online.

I didn't know if anyone knew of any websites that sold the phones cheaper or if you can get a better deal by calling customer service?
