    Acer has announced a new smartphone that is a successor to the Acer Liquid; the Acer Liquid e. The Acer Liquid e will run on Google Android 2.1 unlike the Android 1.6 that runs in the original Acer Liquid and will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor running at 768MHz.

    Features of the Acer Liquid e include: a 3.5" WVGA capacitive touchscreen, 5MP camera, improved Android UI and will come with Quick Contacts and Live Wallpapers.
    Price and launch dates have not been announced.
