I've never been a big subscriber to corporate philosophies, Apple's or anyone else's. That's probably why I'm a self-employed consultant, instead of working for Cisco.

Methinks Jobs makes too much of this whole philosophical thing. Philosophy is a fine thing, but one shouldn't let it stand in the way of usability. Memory card support could be added in much the same way as the current SIM card slot, or in several other ways. Granted, it would cost more. But we're talking about a device with a MSRP of around $600... I don't think it'd run the cost up all that much.

It would be very surprising if Apple puts any sort of external storage slot. I agree with previous poster, it is totally against his philoshopy

Good luck getting a SD slot. It's not consistent with Mr. Job's philosophy of a uniform, un-interrupted case. None of the iPods have this and it's not goign to start with the new iPhone. Possibly higher resolution screen and 5MP camera is what I've read.

The single feature I'd most like to see is a micro SD card slot. Preferably supporting large-capacity cards. For that alone, I'd consider an upgrade from my 3GS. For any other feature or combination of features, I probably would not.

What do you think the next iPhone will include? I'm hoping it will have a better camera, it will probably have the book store feature the iPad is getting and perhaps a 64GB version.
