If someone picks up the phone then you can't listen to your messages In less you have an expensive voicemail system that has a separate line to dial into there is no way around this.

The manual for my AT&T TL74108 telephone + answering machine system, says i need to put a 2-digit no. for remote access. But, the problem is, i gotta WAIT for the answering machine to respond before i can listen to my messages. What if someone picks up the phone? Is there any way around that??

It depends on your voice mail system. Most have some kind of password setup so you can listen to messages remotely.

I do check the answering machine (e.g. voicemail) of my landline phone from my cell phone?

    Thanks in advance.
