Hey - you can only use the phones that are offered with Net10. But really, you need to think about the overall package that you get with the net10 plan...you're paying for a phone that makes calls. And you're getting it at a really good and valuable deal. For $20, you get 200 minutes...this is a great deal, especially if you're someone who just wants a phone that makes and receives calls. This service is for the person who does not want the bells and whistles...the person who just wants what phones were made to do. Personally, I have been using AT&T and one day decided that I was paying just too much money for features I don't need...I came online to do research and came across the Net10 plan...it has worked like a charm for me. I will never go back to high-priced cell phone plans!

No, you cant bring any phone over but that shouldnt deter you. The phones are just as good as any other, the service is great on the verizon network and you cant beat the price.

I also want to know if I can use a Blackberry (unlocked of course) with Net10 unlimited as I want the versitility of Blackberry but I want the good service (Yes it is the BEST!) of Net10... oh, and johncooke987 please note that the title of this thread is UNLIMITED, the .10 per minute charge is the Pay as you Go price which is awesome in itself.

    Hey there,
I do not think its possible to change any other phones to net10, but i think you should just bite the bullet. Net10 phones may feel light and breakable, but they work just as well as any other phone! I've got the Sumsung R451c and i absolutely love it! Plus net10 have the best coverage. I have really been enjoying net10 and highly recommend them!

I don't think it's possible to use a phone from another GSM carrier on the Net10 system...like any other cell phone provider (unless you hack it of course). But the thing is - you're paying for what you get. $0.10/minute is good for short, needed calls. If you want to use your phone for social use, you might want another provider. However, with any other network- you will be charged $50+ monthly for a certain amount of minutes. If you need something strictly for emergencies, Net10 is the way to go.

I've been reading about the Net 10 unlimited service and it sounds great. However, I am less than excited about the quality of cell phones they have to go with the plan, especially in my area. (Basically, only one multimedia phone with small screen and squishy, cheap-feeling keys.) Is it possible to use a phone from another GSM carrier on the Net10 system. If so, can someone point me in the right direction?
