My phone was stolen in South Africa on June 8. In two days, they racked up 1,800 minutes and a $5,200 bill. AT&T automatically suspended the account on June 10 due to suspicion of fraud. I didn't even notice the phone was gone until about a week after. Before the trip, a guy at the AT&T store told me that my phone wasn't even capable of being used overseas with my sim, so I never reported it lost/stolen. It wasn't until I returned home on July 14 when I realized what the balance was, and I immediately called and reported the theft. They made a case for me and told me I have to wait two weeks on their decision if I'll be responsible for this. Has anyone had any similar experiences? I'm just looking for some piece of mind (hopefully) for the next two weeks.

    Thanks
