Yes it does take a couple of hours for a battery to show charging if its completely drained. You can also, take out the battery and put it back in.. start carging if the status does not change

Hi,

I am trying to use my old blackberry curve phone after few months. It has been turned off for few months but when I am trying to charge it, it shows greyed out battery icon on the screen and do not turn on.

Does it take some time to charge the battery after it has been switched off for long time? if so, how long does it take to charge the battery.

Please help.
