Many markets have already received the Android 2.2 Froyo update for the Galaxy S and enjoying the benefits of it. But for the U.S., the Android 2.2 Froyo update is still pending. The original launch of the Android 2.2. Froyo for the U.S. was supposed to have happened by the end of 2010, but as you can see, that didn't happen. On a positive note, Samsung USA's Twitter account, Samsung has confirmed that they are indeed working on launching the Android 2.2 Froyo update to U.S. Galaxy S users and plan on launching it as soon as possible.

Although they mentioned it was coming soon, an exact launch date still has not been mentioned.
