    This is obviously an issue in Mobile 6 and 6.5 as well. It can be done but is cumbersome. That's just a basic function of Windows. Kind of a head scratcher that they'd miss it.

    One bad thing about the new Windows Phone 7 is that that it is missing the copy/cut/paste functionality. Microsoft's chief of Mobile, Andy Lees, reported that the function will be coming to the Windows Phone 7, but will not come until early part of next year. The update will come as a software update

    The update may possibly help with other issues that Microsoft has left out of the Windows Phone 7. The copy/cut/paste function will be easy as clicking on a word,dragging the word or words and lifting your finger to reveal a Copy button.
