It was rumored in the market that Microsoft and Nokia were bidding jointly on blackberry services of RIM? In fact it was also there Amazon was also interested in buying RIM.

According to WSJ, Nokia and Microsoft both are in a race to acquire Big in RIM. Last year before the bid Nokia had discussions with all the three contenders for bidding RIM collectively. But this time people close to this matter have reported that Microsoft and Nokia together will give joint bid for RIM.

It is quite interesting to find out what would be the market condition of Nokia as a single owner of brands? Is Nokia in the race of patent? What would be the gain to Nokia from Black berry services? Everything becomes debatable now

On other hand RIM board is not in mood of any takeover. They wish to strive themselves and get back on their own only. No outside capital insertion they are looking for.
