Unmounting and removing the microSD card - To safely remove the microSD card from your device, first you need to unmount the microSD card before removing it from the phone.Touch the Applications Key > Settings > SD card & phone storage > Unmount External SD card. Now you can safely remove the microSD card. Turn off the phone, remove the back cover, and remove the battery. Gently push the exposed edge of the microSD card in with your fingertip to release it from the slot. Carefully pull the microSD card out of the slot.

Viewing memory in the microSD card - Touch the Applications Key > Settings > SD card & phone storage.Review the available information. The storage capacity page is divided into three sections: SD card, Internal Memory, and Internal phone storage.

Formatting the microSD card - Formatting a microSD card permanently removes all files stored on the card. Touch the Applications Key > Settings > SD card & phone storage. Touch Unmount External SD card to release the microSD card from device use. The icon appears within the Notifications panel to indicate an unmounted microSD card. Once released, touch Format External SD card > Erase SD card > Erase everything. Once completely formatted, the card is automatically re-mounted (reconnected for use by the device).

Connecting your device to the computer - Before using your device’s mass storage capabilities, you need to prepare your device’s data services to synchronize with your desktop or laptop computer. Once you have connected the device to the computer, you can transfer your data to or from the device memory. Use the USB cable that came with your phone to connect the phone to a USB port on your computer. Open the Notifications panel and then touch USB connected. Touch the connection mode you want to use to connect to the PC. Choose from the following options: Charge only, Mass storage or Internet connection.
