You can extend the battery life of your LG Intuition by turning off certain features that run in the background. Plus, you can monitor how applications and system resources use the battery life.

Tips and Tricks to Extend the Battery Life

    1. Turn off all the radio communications that you are not using. Thus, if you’re not using your GPS, Bluetooth or Wi-Fi, use the Settings menu and turn these features off. However, try using Wi-Fi whenever available instead of the data from your provider, as this can increase the battery life for up to 50%.
    2. Turn down the screen brightness and set up a shorter screen timeout.
    3. You can also turn off auto synchronizing for Gmail, Calendar, Contacts as well as other applications, if you don’t need those features.
    4. You have a Power Control widget that controls data activity, GPS connection, synchronizing activity, screen brightness and Bluetooth connection. Use this widget as often as you can.
    5. You also have a Power saver mode. To activate it, go to settings and select the power saver mode.
    6. You can use the Quick Settings from the Notifications Panel to quickly control sound, NFC power, GPS connection as well as Bluetooth power.

To Check the Battery Charge Level

    1. From the home screen, tap Apps.
    2. Go to Settings.
    3. Tap About phone.
    4. Tap Battery.
    5. You will now see the battery status (charging or discharging) and level being displayed at the top of the screen.

To Monitor and Control the Use of the Battery

You can access a Battery Use Screen that allows you to see which applications used the most of your battery. By using the information from this screen you can identify the applications that are running in the background and use the battery power.

To see the Battery Use screen:

    1. From the home screen, tap Apps.
    2. Go to Settings.
    3. Tap About phone.
    4. Now tap Battery and go to Battery use. Here you will see a list of all the applications that are using the battery power, from the ones using the greatest amount of energy to the ones using the least amount.
    5. While in the Battery Use screen, tap an application or service to see more details about its power consumption. For example, you can find out how long it’s been since last connected to a power source or for how long you last used the battery. Different applications offer different information. Some will even have options to modify the settings in order to reduce the power consumption of the application.

    Power Saver

The LG Intuition has a Power Saver mode. Thus, if the battery charge of your phone drops to low levels, it will automatically activate the power saver mode to conserve the battery power until you will be able to charge your phone.

To turn the Power Saver on:

    1. From the home screen, tap Apps.
    2. Go to Settings.
    3. Tap Power saver.
    4. Tap Turn Power saver on.
    5. You can now set your phone to activate the power saver on when the battery charge drops to 10%, 20%, 30% or 50%.
    6. If you turn off the power saver, you will still receive a notification prompting you to turn it on when your battery level is very low.
