Taking Pictures

Tip: If you want to make sure your pictures will look great on devices other than your BlackBerry Z10, it’s recommended that you hold the camera in landscape mode whenever taking pictures.

1. Open your Camera app and make sure the Camera mode is selected.
2. Drag the focus box to the desired location on the screen.
3. If you want to zoom in or out all you need to do is slide your fingers either together or apart. on the screen, but keep in mind that zooming only works in Stabilization or Normal shooting modes.
4. Then you can make one of the following things:
• if you want to take a picture, simply tap any location on the screen.
• if you want to take pictures using the Burst shooting mode, you have to tap and hold your finger on the screen. To stop taking pictures, simply take the finger off screen.

Recording Videos

Tip: Just like with pictures, if you want your videos to look great on any type on device, you should hold your smartphone’s camera in landscape mode when recording a video.

1. Open your Camera app and turn the Video mode.
2. If you want your video camera to focus on a different subject, just drag the focus box to the desired subject.
3. To zoom in or out, you need to slide your fingers together or apart on the screen.
4. And to finally start recording your video you just have to tap anywhere on the screen.
5. When you want to stop recording, tap the screen again.

Switching Between the Camera, Video and Time Shift Mode

1. Open the Camera app.
2. Then select the capture mode that you want to use next by tapping the desired icon located in the upper right corner of the screen.

Using Time Shift Mode

With Time Shift you can take lots of photos as once and then select the one that you want to keep.

1. Open the Camera app and tap the Time Shift mode icon located in the upper-right corner of the screen.
2. Then take a picture and make sure you keep the camera steady until you see the picture on the screen.
3. Then take a look at the photos you took by dragging the slider at the bottom and select the best one.
4. When you found your perfect picture, tap the Checked icon.
5. Or in case you don’t like any of the pictures, you can tap the Trashcan icon and delete all of them and start the same process again.

Replace a Person’s Expression with Time Shift Mode

1. Open the Camera app and tap the Time Shift mode icon located in the upper-right corner of the screen.
2. Then take a picture and by dragging the slider at the bottom of the screen, select the picture you like best.
3. Tap on the recognized face and use the dial to see what other available expressions you have.
4. Then tap anywhere on the screen and tap the Checked icon to save the changes.
