The following is from Verizon Wireless' website:

    "iTunes version 11 or higher

Connect the iPhone to the computer via USB cable.
Open the iTunes application on the computer.
Click iPhone (located in the upper-right).
    Click Restore iPhone.
Review the iTunes alert message then click Restore.
    Click Next.
Review the software license agreement then click Agree.
The restoration process may take several minutes.
Once the restoration process is complete click OK. "

    Did that help?

I have an Iphone 5 that i want to reset to factory mode, but it has a password on it. is there any way that I can reset it to facory settings just by pressing buttons? Or can I do it through iTunes without knowing the password.

I know you were able to do this in the past on apple products. I did some like this on my 2nd Gen iPod Touch.
