    Sending A Text Message

    1. Tap the "Messaging" icon on your home screen
    2. Press the "Compose" icon locate at the top-right corner of the display (depicted as a pen and paper)
    3. Tap the "To" field and enter the desired recipient's phone number (or contact name, assuming that you have the recipient saved in your phonebook)
    4. Tap the "Enter message" field and type-in the text message that you wish to send
    5. Press the "Send" button when ready

    Sending a Multimedia Message

    1. Access the "Messaging" app
    2. Tap the "Compose" icon
    3. Enter the recipient's name or phone number in the "To" field
    4. Type-in the desired message in the appropriate field
    5. Tap the "Attach" icon located under the "Send" button
    6. Select the type of file you wish to attach to your message (for instance, an image)
    7. Browse through your albums (in case of an image) and select the file that you wish to attach
    8. Press "OK" to add the selected attachment
    9. Tap "Send" to send the multimedia message

    Enabling and Setting Up "Drive Mode"

    Drive Mode allows you to enable auto-reply messages, letting the callers (or people that contact you through other means) know that you are driving or are busy.

    1. Tap the "Apps" icon located on the home screen
    2. Under the "Apps" tab, find and tap "AT&T Drive Mode"
    3. Read the terms & conditions and then press "I Accept"
    4. Tap "Continue"
    5. A preset message should already be available in the message field. If you wish to change your message, tap the field and type-in the desired message
    6. Press "Next"
    7. Select whether or not you wish to enable auto-reply to phone calls, messages and / or emails
    8. Once you've selected the desired options, tap "Next" twice. (Alternatively, after pressing "Next" only once you can add up to 5 contacts that will not be filtered, thus they will not get the auto-reply)
    9. Enable or disable "Automatic Mode" (With this option turned on, your smartphone will automatically enable Driving Mode when it detects that you are driving or traveling at a speed greater than 25 mph)
    10. Press "Finish" when ready, then tap "Continue"
    11. Tap the "AT&T Drive Mode" logo to enable or disable the feature

    Setting Up the "AT&T Messages" App

    AT&T Messages is a free AT&T app that centralizes your text messages, voicemails and more, into one application. Your messages can also be accessed via a tablet or computer. Note that, although this application is free, the service is not, thus you will still be charged for your messages by the carrier, as you normally would.

    1. Tap the "Apps" icon on the home screen
    2. Select "Messages"
    3. Accept the terms and conditions
    4. Press the "Call voicemail" button. (Note the message on-screen: you can end the call earlier to continue)
    5. Follow all the prompts to set-up AT&T Messages then tap "Continue"

    Sending a Message Using AT&T Messages

    1. Press the "Apps" icon on the home screen, then tap on "Messages"
    2. Select the "Texts" tab at the top of the screen
    3. Press the "New" button
    4. Select the type of message that you wish to send (for this example, use text)
    5. Type-in the desired recipient's contact name or phone number
    6. Tap the message field and write the message that you wish to send
    7. When ready, press the "Send" button

    Checking Your "AT&T Messages" Voice Mail / Visual Voice

    1. Access your "Apps" from the home screen
    2. Select "Messages"
    3. Tap the "Voicemail" tab then select the desired message
