    That setting was never turned on. I checked everything in the accessibility to see if anything was out of the ordinary and everything seems to be ok. Thanks for your help though!

    How about this? Settings > General > Assesibilty > Hearing aids > toggle off

    Thanks for the reply tavenger5 My iphone 5 doesn't have that feature... I wen't to general - accessibility like you mentioned and no such feature!

    Have you tried disabling noise cancellation under General >Assesibilty

    Seems that this is my second Iphone 5 that is malfunctioning. I had a Samsung Galaxy s 3 before and never had an issue with sound quality however people say I sound muffled and can barely hear me sometimes. I already traded it in for a new one at the apple store. Has anyone heard of this happening before with the Iphone 5?
