Sending a Text Message:

1. From the home screen, tap the "Messages" app
2. Press the "+" button to start a new message
3. Type in the recipient's contact name or phone number in the "To" field
4. Press the "Add text" box and enter your message
5. Tap the "Send" button to send a message

Sending a Multimedia Message:

1. Access the "Messages" app
2. Press "+"
3. In the "To" field, enter the recipient's phone number, contact name or email address
4. To add a subject line, press the "Menu" icon depicting three vertical dots > "Add subject"
5. Tap the "Add text" box and enter your message
6. Press the "Attach" button depicting a paperclip, and select the type of attachment
7. Browse for the item that you wish to attach and select it
8. You can view, remove or edit the attachment by tapping the "…" button associated with it
9. Tap the "Send" button when ready

Note: To create a slideshow after adding a photo, video or audio in your message:

1. Tap the "Attach" button > "Slide"
2. Select where you wish to insert the next slide
3. After adding a slide, you can perform the following:
   
   • Tap "Attach" and select to add a photo or video
   • Tap "Attach" > "Audio" to add a voice recording or music file to the slide
   • Tap "Add text" and enter your caption
4. Press the "Menu" button and tap "Preview"
5. When ready, tap "Send"

Forwarding a Message:

1. On the Messages screen, tap a contact or phone number to view the message thread
2. Select a message, then tap "Forward"
3. In the "To" field, enter one or more recipients
4. Tap "Send"

Replying to a Message:

1. On the "Messages" screen, select the desired message thread
2. Tap the "Add text" box and enter your message
3. Tap "Send"

• To reply to a contact's different phone number:
  
  1. Select the desired message thread in the "Messages" screen
  2. Tap the icon depicting a triangle, then tap "Open contact"
  3. In the "Details" tab, press the icon depicting a chat bubble, associated with the number that you wish to send the message to
  4. Tap the "Add text" box and enter your message
  5. Tap "Send"

Sending a Group Message:

1. Open the "Messages" application
2. Press the "+" button
3. Tap the "Contacts" button depicting a human figure
4. To send a group SMS, select "Send as individual messages". Clear this option to send a group MMS
5. Enter your message in the "Add text" box
6. Tap "Send"

Moving Messages to a Secure Box:
Note: the secure box does not encrypt messages. Also, messages stored on your SIM card cannot be moved to a secure box.

1. While on the "Messages" screen, select the contact or phone number to open the message thread
2. Tap "Menu" and press "Move to secure box"
3. Select the desired messages, then tap "Move"

• To read messages located in the secure box, tap the "triangle" icon on the "Messages" screen, and tap "Secure"
• To remove a message or contact from the secure box, press and hold the contact or phone number and then tap "Move to general box"

Saving a Text Message in the "Tasks" Application:

1. Access the "Messages" app
2. On the "Messages" screen, open the desired thread
3. Select the message that you wish to save, and tap "Save as task"
4. Enter the desired details and / or change the task title
5. Tap "Save"

Deleting Messages or Conversations:

• To delete a message:
  
  1. Open the conversation thread containing the message
  2. Select the desired message and tap "Delete messages"
  3. To delete multiple messages within the conversation, tap "Menu" > "Delete messages" > "Delete by selection" and then select the messages that you wish to delete

• To delete a conversation:
  
  1. In the "Messages" screen, press and hold a thread and tap "Delete"
  2. To delete multiple threads / conversations, press the "Menu" button while on the "Messages" screen, tap "Delete threads" and select the conversation that you wish to delete

Copying a Text Message to Your SIM Card:

1. Access the "Messages" app and go to the "Messages" screen
2. Select a thread containing the desired message
3. Tap the message and then tap "Copy to SIM"
