    Wiping the Cache Partition:

In case your smartphone is not working correctly and you're considering master resetting it, then you might want to wipe its cache partition first. By doing so, you might fix the issues, without losing any data. To wipe the Hydro XTRM's cache:

    1. Turn off the smartphone
    2. Press and hold the "Volume Up", "Volume Down" and "Power" button at the same time
    3. Keep holding the buttons for roughly 10 seconds
    4. After several seconds, an image of an Android lying on its back should appear
    5. Press "Volume Down" twice until "Recovery mode" appears
    6. With "Recovery mode" highlighted, press the "Power" button. An image with a red triangle and an Android should display
    7. Press and hold the "Power" button, and then tap the "Volume Up" key
    8. When the "Android System Recovery" screen appears, release all the buttons
    9. Press the volume buttons in order to highlight "wipe data cache partition"
    10. Press "Power" to select the highlighted option
    11. Your smartphone will wipe the cache and restart in normal mode

Master Resetting via the Settings Menu:

WARNING! Master resetting your smartphone will result in loss of data stored on your phone's internal storage. Content such as downloaded items, ringtones, apps, contacts and images will be lost. Note that, data stored on the SIM and SD cards will not be affected.

    1. If necessary, backup your data
    2. While on the home screen, press the "All apps" icon
    3. Tap "Settings"
    4. Under "Personal", tap "Backup & reset"
    5. Tap "Factory data reset"
    6. Assuming that your device is password protected, you will need to enter your password, PIN or pattern
    7. Tap "Erase everything"

    Master Resetting Using Hardware Buttons:

WARNING! Master resetting your device will result in loss of personal data stored on your phone's memory, including images, apps, custom ringtones, downloaded content etc. The content stored on the SD and SIM cards will not be deleted.

    1. If necessary, back up your personal data
    2. Turn off the smartphone
    3. Press and hold the "Volume Up", "Volume Down" and "Power" button for 10 seconds or so. An Android lying on its back will pop-up on the screen after a while
    4. Press the "Volume Down" button twice until the "Recovery mode" option appears
    5. Press the "Power" button to reboot your device in recovery mode. An image with a red triangle should appear
    6. Tap "Volume up" while holding the "Power" button
    7. When the "Android System Recovery" screen appears, release the buttons
    8. Use the volume rocker to navigate to "wipe data / factory reset"
    9. Press the "Power" button to select the option
    10. Navigate to "Yes – erase all user data" and press "Power"
    11. Finally, highlight "reboot system now" and once again, confirm the selection by pressing "Power"
    12. Your smartphone will factory reset and reboot in normal mode

    Enabling Safe Mode:

Safe mode can be used in order to uninstall third party applications that may cause issues with your device, and would not allow you to uninstall them using normal means. To enter safe mode:

    1. Press the "Power" button
    2. Tap and hold the "Power off" option from the pop-up menu
    3. Tap "OK" when prompted to start safe mode
    4. Your device will now reboot in safe mode
    5. Go to "Settings" > "Apps" and uninstall the application that causes problems
    6. To exit safe mode, press and hold the "Power" button
    7. Tap "Power off"
    8. Lastly, press and hold the "Power" key and restart your device as you normally would
