    Restoring Applications:

    1. Log in to the Google account on which the apps have been backed up
    2. While on the home screen, press the "Menu" button
    3. Tap "Settings"
    4. Under the "Accounts" tab, tap "Google" > "Sync all"
    5. Press the "Back" button
    6. Tap "Backup and reset"
    7. Check / Uncheck the boxes associated with "Backup my data" and "Automatic restore"

    Contact Restore

    Restoring Contacts from a Google or Samsung Account:

    1. Press the "Menu" button while on the home screen
    2. Tap "Settings"
    3. Tap the "Accounts" tab
    4. Select either "Google" or "Samsung", depending on the type of account you've used for the backup
    5. Tap your "email address" at the top of the screen
    6. Mark the "Sync contacts" check box. If it's already selected, tap "Sync now"

    Restoring Contacts from the SD Card:

    1. Tap the "Contacts" icon from the home screen
    2. Press "Menu" > "Import / Export"
    3. Tap "Import from SD card"
    4. Select the desired account for the contacts to be imported on
    5. Choose the VCF file containing the contacts, and import them

    Media File Restore

    Restoring Media Files from the SD Card:

    1. Tap the "All Apps" icon located on the home screen
    2. Tap "My Files" > "All files" > "SD card"
    3. Navigate to where the files are stored on the SD card
    4. Tap and hold the desired file
    5. Select "Move". Your device will now display a list of available memory locations. To move the file in a different location, you can tap the folder name or "Create new"
    6. Tap "Move here"

    Restoring Media Files from a Windows Computer:

    1. Establish a connection between your smartphone and computer via USB
    2. Drag down the "Status" bar
    3. Tap "Connected as a media device" and mark the "Media device" check box
    4. An AutoPlay window will appear on your PC. Click "Open device to view files using Windows Explorer"
    5. Open a new Windows Explorer window and navigate to where the media files are stored on your PC
    6. Copy the desired files and paste them on your phone's storage
    7. Once finished, safely disconnect your device from your computer by clicking the "mass storage device" icon located in the system tray

    Restoring Media Files from a Mac Computer:

    1. Connect your smartphone to your computer via USB
    2. Drag the "Notification" bar down and tap "Connected as a media device"
    3. Mark the "Media device" check box
    4. Launch Kies and click the "Back up / restore" tab
    5. Click the "Restore" tab
    6. Mark the check boxes associated with "Music", "Photo" or any other additional categories as you see fit. NOTE: you can also click the "Select all items" check box
    7. Click "Restore" and follow any on-screen instructions to complete the process
    8. Once finished, you can disconnect your smartphone from your Mac
