Contact Management

Adding a New Contact:

1. Tap the "Contacts" icon located on the home screen
2. Go to the "Contacts" tab
3. Press the "+" button and select where you want to save the contact, such as "Device", "SIM" or "Google"
4. Enter the contact's name in the "First name" field
5. Type in / enter any additional details in their appropriate fields
6. When you're done editing the contact, tap "Save". NOTE: to learn how to add a custom ringtone to a contact, visit this link

Importing / Exporting Contacts from the SD Card:

1. Open the "Contacts" application
2. Go to the "Contacts" tab
3. Press the "Menu" button and select "Import / Export"
4. Perform one of the following sets of steps:
   
   • To copy contacts from the SD card to your device:
     
     1. Tap "Import from SD card"
     2. Select the location where you want to import the contacts, such as an account and tap "OK"
     3. Choose to "Import vCard file", "Import multiple vCard files" or "Import all vCard files"
     4. Tap "OK"
     5. If required, select the desired vCard file and tap "OK" to import its contents
   • To copy contacts from the device to the SD card:
     
     1. Tap "Export to SD card"
     2. Press "OK" to confirm

Importing / Exporting Contacts from the SIM Card:

1. Tap the "Contacts" icon located on the home screen
2. Go to the "Contacts" tab
3. Press the "Menu" button and tap "Import / Export"
4. Perform one of the following sets of steps:
   
   • To copy contacts to the SIM card:
     
     1. Tap "Import to SIM card"
     2. Select the contacts that you want to copy, or tap "Select all"
     3. Tap "Done" > "OK"
   • To copy contacts from the SIM card to the device:
     
     1. Tap "Import from SIM card"
     2. Select the location (account) where you want to save the contacts and tap "OK"
     3. Mark the check boxes next to the contacts that you wish to copy, or tap "Select all"
     4. Tap "Done"

Adding a Contact to Speed Dial:

1. Tap the "Phone" icon located on the home screen
2. Tap the "Keypad" tab if necessary
3. Press "Menu" and tap "Speed dial setting"
4. Tap the dial number that you wish to assign
5. Select the contact that you want to assign to the dial number

Deleting a Contact:

1. Open the "Contacts" application
2. Access the "Contacts" tab. NOTE: if you want to delete contacts from a specific list, such as "Google", press "Menu" > "Contacts to display" and choose the desired contact type / list
3. Press "Menu" and tap "Delete"
4. Mark the check boxes next to the contacts that you wish to remove. Optionally, tap "Select all"
5. Tap "Delete" > "OK"

Contact Group Management

Creating a New Contact Group:

1. Launch the "Contacts" app and swipe to the "Groups" tab
2. Press "Menu" and tap "Create"
3. Type in the name for the group
4. Tap "Add member" and then mark the check box associated with the contact(s) that you want to add
5. Tap "Done" > "Save"

Adding Contacts to a Group:

NOTE: you can add contacts to groups, only if the contacts are saved on the phone's memory or on a Google account

1. Tap "Contacts" from the home screen
2. Access the "Groups" tab
3. Select the desired group
4. Press the "+" icon. Alternatively, you can tap "Menu" > "Edit" > "Add member"
5. Place a check mark next to the contacts that you wish to add. Optionally, tap "Select all"
6. Tap "Done"
