    2. Tap "Settings" and go to "Accounts"
    3. Under "My account", select an account type

Disabling Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Hotspot, GPS and Bluetooth:

Features such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS can impact battery life quite hard, especially when these features are enabled but not in use. For example, leaving Wi-Fi enabled while not in range of a network will keep the device searching for connections constantly. It's best to disable all of these features when not in use. To do so:

    1. Press "Menu" while on a home screen
    2. Tap "Settings"
    3. Go to the "Connections" tab and tap "More networks"
    4. Tap "Tethering & Mobile HotSpot" and tap the switch associated with "Mobile HotSpot" in order to disable the feature
    5. Return to the home screen and drag the "Status" bar down
    6. Tap the switches associated with "Wi-Fi", "Bluetooth" and "GPS", and set them to "OFF" (NOTE: a grayed out color means the feature is disabled)

    Disabling Background Data:

    1. Press "Menu" while on a home screen
    2. Tap "Settings"
    3. Tap the "Connections" tab and tap "Data usage"
    4. Press "Menu" and mark the check box next to "Restrict background data"

Toggling from 4G to 2G Connectivity:

    1. While on a home screen, press the "Menu" button
    2. Tap "Settings"
    3. Go to "Connections" and tap "More networks"
    4. Tap "Mobile networks" > "Network mode"
    5. To switch to 2G, tap "GSM only"
    6. To return to 4G connectivity, simply tap "LTE / GSM / WCDMA (auto connect)" or "GSM / WCMA (auto connect)"

Minimizing the Usage of Third Party Apps:

    1. Press "Menu" from the home screen
    2. Tap "Settings"
    3. Open the "More" tab
    4. Tap "Application manager" and swipe to the "Downloaded" screen
    5. Select the desired app
    6. Tap "Disable" to turn off the app, or alternatively, tap "Uninstall" to completely remove the app
    7. Tap "OK"

    Using a "Static" Wallpaper:

Live wallpapers can impact battery life greatly, specifically those that need a lot of resources in order to run smoothly. It's highly advised that you use plain images as wallpapers if you intend on maximizing battery life.

    1. Press "Menu" from any of the home screens
    2. Tap "Set wallpaper"
    3. Select "Home screen"
    4. Tap either "Wallpaper" or "Gallery"
    5. Go through your images, select the desired one and tap "Set wallpaper". NOTE: if you're browsing the gallery, select the desired image, then drag, resize and crop it, and tap "Done"

Applying the Latest Available Software Update:

NOTE: In order for this method to work, a new software update that fixes potential battery life issues or improves battery life needs to be available. If no software update is available, following the steps below will not affect battery life whatsoever.

    1. Press "Menu" from the home screen
    2. Tap "Settings" and go to "More"
    3. Tap "About device" > "Software update"
    4. Follow the on-screen prompts if there's an update available, in order to apply it
