Audio File Transfer

Transferring Audio Files (Ringtones) from a Windows Computer:

1. Establish a connection between your Ace 3 and computer via USB
2. Drag the "Status" bar down and tap "Connected as a media device" > "Media device (MTP)"
3. On the computer, click "Open device to view files using Windows Explorer" in the AutoRun window
4. Open a new Windows Explorer window and locate the desired audio files on the PC's HDD
5. Copy the audio files and paste them on the phone's storage
6. After the transfer is done, safely disconnect your smartphone

Transferring Audio Files (Ringtones) from a Mac Computer:

NOTE: Skip the first two steps if you already have Kies installed on your Mac.

1. On your computer, visit SAMSUNG KIES and click "Download for Mac OS"
2. Follow the on-screen instructions to install Kies
3. Using the USB cable, connect your Ace 3 to your Mac
4. From the phone's home screen, swipe the "status" bar down and tap "Connected as a media device"
5. Mark the "Media device (MTP)" check box
6. Launch Kies on the Mac and click the "Folder" icon associated with "Internal memory" or "External memory"
7. In Kies, navigate to the location where you want to transfer the audio files
8. On the computer, locate the desired audio files and drag > drop them into Kies
9. After the transfer is complete, safely disconnect your smartphone

Managing the Ringtone and Notification List

Adding Audio Files in the Ringtone List:

1. Press "Menu" from the home screen
2. Tap "Settings" and select the "My device" tab
3. Tap "Sound" > "Ringtones" > "Add"
4. Select "Sound picker" or "Choose music track"
5. Tap "Just once" or "Always"
6. Lastly, select the desired sound file and press "OK"

Adding Sound Files to the Notification List:

1. Tap the "Apps" icon located on the home screen
2. Open "My files" and tap "All files"
3. Navigate to the desired audio files
4. Tap and hold a file and select "Copy"
5. Choose "Device storage" and open the "Notifications" folder
6. Tap "Paste here"

Setting Custom Ringtones and Notification Sounds

Changing the Ringtone of All Calls:

1. Press the "Menu" key while on a home screen
2. Tap "Settings" and open the "My device" tab
3. Tap "Sound" > "Ringtones"
4. Select the desired ringtone and press "OK"

Changing a Specific Contact's Ringtone:

1. Tap the "Contacts" icon located on the home screen
2. Select the desired contact
3. Tap the "Edit" icon depicting a pencil and tap "Ringtone"
4. Select the desired audio file and tap "OK"
5. Tap "Save"

Changing the Notification Sound:

1. Press "Menu" from a home screen
2. Tap "Settings" > "My device"
3. Tap "Sound" > "Notifications"
4. Select the desired notification sound and tap "OK"
