    Backing Up Applications:

    1. While viewing the home screen, press the "Menu" button
    2. Tap "Settings"
    3. Access the "Accounts" tab
    4. Tap "Backup and reset". NOTE: you need to be logged in to a Google account in order to back up your applications. If you need to add one, tap "Backup account" > "Add account"
    5. If necessary, mark the check boxes next to "Backup my data" and "Backup account"

    Contact Backup

    Backing Up Contacts on a Samsung or Google Account:

    1. While viewing the home screen, tap "Contacts"
    2. Press the "Menu" button
    3. Tap "Merge accounts"
    4. Select "Merge with Google" or "Merge with Samsung"
    5. Log in to your Google or Samsung account if necessary

    Backing Up Contacts on the SD Card:

    1. Tap the "Contacts" icon while viewing a home screen
    2. Press "Menu" and tap "Contacts to display" > "All contacts"
    3. Press the "Menu" button and tap "Import / Export"
    4. Tap "Export to SD card". NOTE: write down the name of the created backup file, so that you can easily restore it next time
    5. Tap "OK"

    Media File Backup

    Backing Up Media Files on the SD Card:

    1. While on a home screen, tap the "Apps" icon
    2. Open "My Files"
    3. Tap "All files" > "Device storage"
    4. If you intend on backing up all your files, press the "Menu" key, tap "Select all" and skip to step 6
    5. Mark the check boxes associated with the desired files and folders
    6. Tap the "Menu" icon located in the upper-right area of the screen
    7. Select "Copy", or "Move" if you wish to avoid creating duplicates
    8. Tap "SD memory card"
    9. Navigate to the desired folder
    10. Tap "Paste here" (or "Move here")

    Backing Up Media Files on a Windows Computer:

    1. Establish a connection between your Samsung Galaxy Ace Style and computer via USB
    2. On the smartphone, swipe the "Status" bar down and tap "Connected as a media device"
    3. Mark the "Media device" check box
    4. From the AutoPlay window on the computer, click "Open device to view files using Windows Explorer"
    5. Navigate to where the media files are stored on your smartphone
    6. Copy the desired files and paste them in the backup location on your computer's hard drive
    7. Once the transfer is complete, safely disconnect your smartphone

    Backing Up Media Files on a Mac Computer:

    NOTE: Skip the first two steps if Samsung Kies is already installed on your Mac

    1. Open the Internet browser on your computer and visit Kies
    2. Click "Download for Mac OS" and follow the on-screen instructions to install Kies on the Mac
    3. Establish a connection between the computer and the Galaxy Ace Style via USB
    4. Drag the "Status" bar down on the smartphone, and tap "Connected as a media device"
    5. Next, mark the "Media device" check box
    6. Launch Kies on the Mac and click the "Back up / restore" tab
    7. Click the "Backup" tab
    8. Mark the check box next to "Music", "Photo" and any other type of file you wish to back up. Alternatively, click "Select all items"
    9. Click "Backup"
    10. After the process is done, safely disconnect your smartphone
