    Data Backup

    Backing Up Application Data:

    1. From the home screen, tap the "Apps" icon
    2. Tap "Settings"
    3. Under "Personal", tap "Backup & reset"
    4. Mark the "Backup my data" check box
    5. Tap "Backup account" and select one from the list. If no account is listed, you can tap "Add account" and follow any additional self-explanatory steps to add an account and complete the app data backup

    Backing Up Contacts on the SIM Card:

    1. While on the home screen, tap the "Phone" icon
    2. Go to the "Contacts" tab
    3. Tap the "Menu" button located in the lower-right corner
    4. Tap "Back up contacts" and select "SIM Card"
    5. Choose the contacts that you wish to back up. Alternatively, tap the "Mark all" check box
    6. Tap "Back up" and select to "Add contacts" or "Replace all contacts" if prompted
    7. Tap "OK" to confirm (if necessary)

    Backing Up Contacts on the SD Card:

    1. Tap the "Phone" icon located on the home screen
    2. Access the "Contacts" tab
    3. Tap "Menu" > "Back up contacts"
    4. Tap "SD card"
    5. Confirm by pressing "OK"

    Backing up Media Files using the SD Card:

    1. Open the apps drawer
    2. Tap "Settings"
    3. Go to "Storage"
    4. Tap "Transfer data to SD card"

    Backing up Media Files using a Windows Computer:

    1. Connect your Sony Xperia T3 to your computer via USB
    2. On the computer, an AutoPlay window should appear. From there, click to browse the phone's files and folders
    3. Open the "Internal storage" folder
    4. Locate the media files that you wish to back up
    5. Copy the files, and navigate to the desired backup location on your computer's HDD
    6. After the transfer is done, click the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon located in the system tray
    7. Next, click "Safely Remove Mass Storage Device"
    8. Click "OK" to confirm and you can now disconnect your smartphone

    Restoring Data

    Restoring Applications:

    1. Tap the "Apps" icon while on the home screen
    2. Open up "Settings"
    3. Go to "Personal" and tap "Backup & reset"
    4. Tap "Backup account" and select an account from the list. NOTE: if no account is listed, tap "Add account" and follow the on-screen instructions to add one
    5. Mark the "Automatic restore" check box and your apps should start being restored

    Restoring Contacts from the SIM Card:

    1. Launch the "Phone" application
    2. From the "Contacts" tab, tap "Menu"
    3. Tap "Import contacts" and select to import the contacts from the SIM card
    4. Mark the contacts that you wish to restore. Alternatively, tap "Import all"

    Restoring Contacts Located on the SD Card:

    1. From the "Phone" application, access the "Contacts" tab
    2. Tap the "Menu" button and select to "Import contacts"
    3. Tap "SD card" and select the vCard file that you wish to restore / import
    4. Tap "OK"

    Restoring Media Files from a Windows Computer:

    1. Use the USB cable to connect your Xperia T3 to your computer
    2. From the "AutoPlay" window on your computer, click to browse the handset's folders and files
    3. Navigate to the phone's "Internal storage" folder
    4. Open a secondary Windows Explorer window and locate the backed up files on your computer's HDD
    5. Copy the files, and paste them in the appropriate folder located within the "Internal storage" directory of your Sony Xperia T3
    6. Once the transfer is done, click the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon from the system tray
    7. Click "Safely Remove Mass Storage Device" > "OK"
    8. It's now safe to disconnect your smartphone
