    Transferring Contacts via Google Sync:

Using a Google account, you can sync the contacts stored on the Note II, allowing you to easily transfer the contacts over to the Desire 516, by re-syncing them from between the Google account and the HTC smartphone. To do so:

    1. On the Samsung Galaxy Note II, register your Google account
    2. Press "Menu" from the home screen and tap "Settings"
    3. Swipe to "My accounts" and select "Google"
    4. Tap your "user name" or "email address"
    5. Clear and mark the check box next to "Sync Contacts". Alternatively, tap "Sync Now"
    6. Switch over to the HTC Desire 516 and register the same account as the one used on the Note II
    7. Tap "All apps" from the home screen and go to "Settings"
    8. Tap "Accounts & Sync", select the account if necessary, and allow it to sync contact data with your phone

Using the "Import / Export" Function:

Using the "Contacts" and "People" applications pre-loaded the two smartphones, you can export the contacts stored on the Note II in the form of a VCF file, which can then be transferred to the HTC device via email or by using a computer. Once transferred, the file can be imported via the "People" app

    1. Launch the "Contacts" application on the Galaxy Note II
    2. Access the "Contacts" tab and press "Menu"
    3. Tap "Contacts to display" > "All contacts"
    4. Press "Menu" and tap "Import / Export"
    5. Tap "Export to SD card" and remember the file's name for future use
    6. Tap "OK" and launch the email application
    7. Compose a new email and attach the VCF file to it
    8. Send the email to your own Gmail address
    9. On the HTC Desire 516, launch the email app
    10. Open the previously sent email and download the attached VCF file
    11. Open the "People" application
    12. Press "Menu" > "Import / Export contacts"
    13. Select to "import from SD card" or "From phone storage" depending on the location of the downloaded file
    14. Select an account and browse > load the VCF file

NOTE: Once the vCard file has been exported on the Note II, you can transfer it over to the HTC Desire 516 by connecting both smartphones to a computer via USB, and manually copy > pasting the file in the Desire's "sdcard" directory

    Using "Send Anywhere":

Lastly, you can also use various third party applications for transferring contacts. Send Anywhere is an app that can be used for transferring contacts and various other file types from one device to another without needing access to a computer

    1. Visit the Google Play Store and download "Send Anywhere" on both smartphones
    2. After the app has been installed, open it on both devices
    3. From the Galaxy Note II, tap "Send" and select "Contacts"
    4. Mark the contacts that you want to share and tap "Send"
    5. To complete the operation, select the desired transfer method. You can tap "Receive" on the HTC Desire 516, and enter the randomly generated transfer code from the Note II in order to commence the transfer. Alternatively, tap "Generate QR Code" on the Note II, and scan the code with the HTC smartphone's camera in order to start the contact transfer
