Thank for your reply. Running SP 3 v 3300 and .Net framework 4 Client Profile & Extended. The latter I just reinstalled, but it did not solve the problem. Actually when downloading KiesSetup it let me download the framework files too, but I do not remember the version.

It probably has something to do with windows xp and/or .net framework being out of date. Are you running the latest service pack and .net ?

I just bought a new Galaxy Grand Neo, GT-I9060/DS. In order to have it connected to my computer, I downloaded KiesSetup.exe 2.6.2.14014 and installed Kies. When first starting Kies, it gives an error: some function or class is missing.
Specification as from the report to Microsoft:
    Error:
    EventType: clr20r3 P1: kies.exe P2: 1.0.0.1821 P3: 5357afa9
    P4: presentationcore P5: 3.0.0.0 P6: 470bc96a P7: 2170
    P8: 15 P9: system.missingmethodexception
I tried several versions with the same result.
Kies 3 runs, but does not recognize the mobile phone.
Using Windows XP Professional (but not in a professional way, because I did not upgrade).
    Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
    Theo
