Hello! I've been thinking about getting a new phone for ages now, but haven't really had the time to do some proper research. Over this period I have saved anything that looked interesting for future reference. I love a bargain and like to get the best 'bang-per-buck,' so to speak. For this reason I have been drawn to phones elsewhere in the world like China and India. I suppose it would help if I outline my requirements and the kind of specs I was looking for in a phone.

    Platform - Android
    Size - 5in +
    4G enabled
Camera - as long as it's ok, I don't mind
Cost - willing to spend up to £300

    I've short-listed the following phones:

    • One+ one
    • Xiaomi Mi 4
    • Huawei Honor 6
    • ZTE Nubia Z7
    • Meizu MX4

LG g3 - I have found a 16gb, unlocked, grade B item on sale on eBay UK from a German supplier for approx. £275 + £17p&p. Not sure if I have to pay any extra for taxes, etc.?

I'm aware that the One+ one it 's missing the 800Mhz (band 20) band in the 4G range, and as such, you can't get 4G on O2, Vodafone, GiffGaff, Tesco or Lycamobile. I'm also also aware that Three relies on the 800MHz band for some of its 4G, so 4G signal on that network in certain areas may not be too hot. That only leaves EE.

Is there anything else out there, that betters either one of these?
