    Check the Amount of SD Storage:

    1. From the home screen, tap "Apps"
    2. Access the "Settings" menu
    3. Under "Phone", tap "Storage"
    4. The "Available" values are shown under "SD Card"

    Format the SD Card:

    WARNING! Formatting the SD card will result in the deletion of all data stored on the card, including downloaded content, audio files, contacts and so on. It's highly advised to create backups before proceeding. To format the SD card:

    1. Go to the phone's "Settings" menu
    2. Swipe to "SD card" and tap "Format SD card"
    3. Tap "Erase SD Card"
    4. To confirm, tap "Erase Everything" when prompted to do so

    Opening / Deleting SD Card Files

    Delete Files on the SD Card using the Smartphone:

    1. From the home screen tap "Apps"
    2. Go to "Settings" and swipe to "Phone"
    3. Tap "Storage" and access "SD Card'
    4. Tap "SD memory card" > "Make more space"
    5. Select "Browser", "Music", "Gallery" and / or "Miscellaneous"
    6. Mark the check boxes associated with the items you want to delete
    7. Tap "Delete" and press "OK" to confirm

    Opening or Deleting SD Files Using a Windows PC:

    1. Use the USB cable to connect the HTC Desire 826 to your computer
    2. Swipe the "Status" bar down and tap "USB Connected" > "Connect USB storage"
    3. From the AutoPlay window on the PC, click "Open folder to view files"
    4. Locate the files stored on the SD card
    5. Double-click an item to open it. To remove it, right click it > click "Delete"
    6. Once you're done opening / deleting files, click the "Removable mass storage device" icon in the system tray
    7. Eject the phone's storage and disconnect your phone from the PC

    Transfer Files Between SD and Computer

    On a Windows Computer:

    1. Connect the smartphone to your computer via USB
    2. Swipe the "Status" bar down and tap "USB Connected" > "Connect USB storage"
    3. From the AutoPlay window that should pop-up on the PC, choose to browse the phone's files
    4. Go to the SD card directory
    5. Copy the desired files and transfer them on your computer's HDD
    6. Once the transfer is done, eject the phone's storage and safely disconnect it from the computer

    On a Mac Computer:

    1. Install HTC Sync Manager on the Mac, if necessary
    2. Connect your smartphone to your Mac via USB
    3. Once HSM launches, follow the on-screen instructions to view & manage the SD card files

    Change the Storage Location of Apps

    NOTE: The large part of pre-loaded applications, including "Camera", "Internet" etc. store data on the internal memory. You can change this default option to use the SD card instead, and free up internal storage.

    Storage Settings for Camera App:

    1. Launch the "Camera" app
    2. In the viewfinder, press "Menu"
    3. Tap "Settings" and access "Storage"
    4. Select "SD card"

    Storage Settings for Internet App:

    1. Tap "Apps" from the home screen and open the "Internet" app
    2. Press "Menu" and access "Settings"
    3. Go to "Advanced" > "Download storage"
    4. Tap "Storage card"

    Storage Settings for Voice Recorder App:

    1. Launch the "Voice Recorder" application
    2. Press "Menu" > " Settings"
    3. Tap "Storage" and choose "SD Card"
