    Back Up App Data:

    1. Tap "Apps" on the home screen
    2. Go to "Settings"
    3. Under "User and Backup" tap "Backup and reset"
    4. Sign in with your Google account. NOTE: to add one, tap "Backup account" > "Add account"
    5. Tick the boxes associated with "Backup my data" and "Backup account"

    Contact Backup

    Back Up Contacts on a Samsung or Google Account:

    1. Tap "Contacts" on the home screen
    2. Tap "Settings" > "Merge accounts"
    3. Select "Samsung account" or "Google"
    4. Tap "OK" and the contacts on your phone will be synced with your account

    Back Up Contacts on the SD Card:

    1. Access the phone's "Settings" menu
    2. Swipe to "Applications" and tap "Contacts"
    3. Tap "Contacts to display" > "All contacts"
    4. Tap "Import / Export" > "Export to SD card"
    5. Make sure you will remember the backup file's name for future use and tap "OK"

    Back Up Media Files

    On the SD Card:

    1. Open the "Apps" drawer
    2. Access "My Files"
    3. Tap "Local Storage" > "Device storage"
    4. Tap "Menu" > "Select"
    5. Locate the media files you wish to back up
    6. Mark the boxes associated with the files and press "Menu" > "Copy"
    7. Tap "SD card" and select a folder
    8. Tap "Paste here"

    On a Windows Computer:

    1. Connect the Galaxy Xcover 3 to your computer via USB
    2. Swipe the "Status" bar down
    3. Tap "Connected as a media device" > enable "Media device (MTP)"
    4. In the AutoPlay window on the computer click "Open device to view files"
    5. Access the "Card" or "Phone" directory and locate the media files you want to back up
    6. Copy the files and transfer them on your computer

    On a Mac Computer:

    NOTE: Skip the first 3 steps if you already have Samsung Kies installed on your Mac

    1. Open the Internet browser on the Mac
    2. Navigate to Kies
    3. Click "Download for Mac OS" and follow the on-screen steps to install Kies on the Mac
    4. Connect the Xcover 3 to your Mac via USB
    5. From the "Notification" area make sure your phone is "Connected as a media device" > "Media Device (MTP)"
    6. Launch Kies on the Mac and click the "Back up / Restore" tab
    7. Click the "Backup" tab and select the folders you wish to back up ("Music", "Photo" and so on)
    8. Click "Backup" and want for the process to complete
    9. When done, drag the phone's virtual drive to "Eject / Trash" and safely disconnect the device from the Mac
