    Wiping App Cache / Data:

NOTE: If one or more of your applications cause problems and don't work as intended, you might be able to fix these issues by clearing the app's cache or data.

WARNING! Clearing an app's data will delete all personal information stored within the app, including high scores, profiles, saved games, credit card information, and so on. It's recommended that you first try and solve these issues by clearing the app's cache.

    1. From the home screen, tap "Apps"
    2. Go to "Settings"
    3. Swipe to "Device" and tap "Applications"
    4. Tap "Application manager" and access the "All", "Downloaded" or "Running" screen
    5. Select the desired app
    6. Tap "Clear cache"
    7. If necessary, tap "Clear data" > "OK"

    Wipe the Phone's Cache Partition:

NOTE: In case your phone crashes, freezes, or doesn't work as it should, then you might be able to fix this behavior by wiping the phone's cache partition. Unlike a factory reset, wiping the cache will not delete all the personal data stored on the phone's internal memory.

    1. Turn off the SGS6 Active
    2. Press and hold the "Volume Up", "Home" and "Power" buttons at the same time
    3. Once the phone boots up and displays "Power", release all the hardware buttons
    4. At the "Android System Recovery" screen, press the "Volume down" button to navigate to and highlight "wipe cache partition"
    5. Press "Power" to select the highlighted option
    6. At the "Reboot system now" message, press "Power" to reboot your device

NOTE: If wiping the phone's cache partition did not help, you can try master resetting it by following the instructions on this thread (click the link).

Enter Safe Mode and Remove Malicious Apps:

NOTE: If one of your third party applications causes problems on your phone and prevents you from removing it, you should be able to uninstall it completely by first rebooting your phone in Safe Mode. In this mode all third party apps are disabled.

    1. Turn off the smartphone
    2. Press and hold the "Power" button
    3. At the "Samsung" splash screen, release the "Power" key and immediately press and hold "Volume down" instead
    4. When the smartphone finishes restarting, release the "Volume down" button. NOTE: A "safe mode" label should be present in the lower-left corner of the home screen
    5. To remove an app, tap "Apps" and go to "Settings"
    6. Swipe to "Device" and tap "Applications"
    7. Tap "Application manager"
    8. Swipe to the "Downloaded" screen and select the app you want to remove
    9. Tap "Uninstall"
    10. To exit Safe Mode, simply press and hold the "Power" button and select "Restart"
