    Back Up Applications:

    1. Tap "Apps" while viewing the home screen
    2. Access "Settings" and swipe to "Personal"
    3. Tap "Backup and reset"
    4. If necessary log in to your Google account, or tap "Backup account" > "Google Account" > "Add account"
    5. Mark the check boxes associated with "Back up my data" and "Backup account"

    Back Up Contacts:

    1. Make sure your phone is connected to a Wi-Fi network
    2. Tap "Apps" while viewing the home screen and go to "Settings"
    3. Swipe to "Personal" and tap "Backup and reset"
    4. Tap "Backup account" and select "HTC Account" or "Google Account"
    5. Tap "Automatic Backup" to perform daily Wi-Fi beckups of your contacts
    6. To back up your phone contacts now, tap "Back up now"

    Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:

    1. Establish a USB connection between the HTC One ME and and PC
    2. In the AutoPlay window on the computer, click to "Open device to view files using Windows Explorer"
    3. Navigate to the media files stored on your phone
    4. Copy the files you want to back up, and paste them on your computer's hard drive
    5. Once the transfer is done, click "Safely Remove Hardware" > "Eject" in the system tray and clock
    6. You can now disconnect the phone from the PC

    Back Up Media Files on a Mac:

    1. Connect the One ME to the Mac via USB
    2. Open the file explorer on the Mac and locate the media files stored on your phone
    3. Copy the files and transfer them onto your Mac's HDD
    4. Once the transfer is complete, drag the smartphone's virtual storage drive and drop it into "Trash / Eject"
    5. You can now safely disconnect the phone from the Mac
