    Clear App Cache / Data:

NOTE: In case one of your third party applications doesn’t work as intended you might be able to fix this behavior by clearing the app’s cache or data.

WARNING! Wiping an applications data will result in the deletion if all personal data stored within the app, including credit card information, saved games, profiles etc. Thus it is recommended to try and fix these issues by first clearing the app’s cache.

    1. Tap “Apps” while viewing the home screen
    2. Access “Settings” and swipe to “Phone"
    3. Tap “Apps” and swipe to the “All” tab
    4. Tap “Clear cache”. If necessary tap “Clear data” > “OK”

    Clearing the Phone’s Cache Partition:

NOTE: In case your phone crashes, freezes, or otherwise doesn’t work as intended, you can try fixing these problems by clearing the phone’s cache partition. Doing so can have similar positive effects as a factory reset, without worrying about the personal data stored on the internal memory.

    1. Press and hold the “Power” button
    2. Tap “Power off”
    3. With the smartphone turned off, press and hold the “Volume Down” button
    4. Press and release “Power”
    5. Once a black screen with red and blue text appears, release all hardware buttons
    6. From the aforementioned menu, press “Volume down” to navigate to and highlight “Reboot to bootloader”
    7. Press “Power” to select the highlighted option
    8. From the bootloader screen, press “Volume Down” to highlight “Boot to Recovery Mode”
    9. Press “Power” and then use “Volume Down” to highlight “Wipe cache partition”
    10. Press “Power” again and wait for the cache partition to be cleared
    11. At the “Reboot system now” message, press “Power” to reboot your device

NOTE: In case clearing the phone’s cache partition did not help, you can check out this thread for a full guide on how you can master reset the HTC One ME.

Enter Safe Mode and Remove an App:

NOTE: If one of your third party apps causes issues on your phone and prevents you from uninstalling it, you can easily remove it by first rebooting your phone in Safe Mode. In this mode all third party apps are disabled.

    1. Press and hold “Power”
    2. Under “Phone Options” tap and hold “Power off”
    3. When you receive the “Reboot to save mode” prompt, tap “Restart”
    4. Once the phone reboots in Safe Mode, tap “Apps” and go to “Settings”
    5. Swipe to “Phone” and tap “Apps”
    6. Select the application you want to remove and tap “Uninstall” > “OK”
