    Enable Battery Saving Mode:

    1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
    2. Open “Settings”
    3. Swipe to “System” and tap “Power saving”
    4. Tap “Power saving mode” and move the slider to “ON”
    5. To change how Power saving mode works, you can enable / disable “Block background data”, “Restrict performance”, “Grayscale mode” etc.

    Enable Ultra Power Saving Mode:

    1. Go to the phone’s “Settings” menu
    2. Tap “Power saving” under “System”
    3. Tap “Ultra Power saving mode”
    4. Set the Ultra Power mode switch to “ON”
    5. You can adjust the Ultra power saving mode for various apps including “Phone”, “Messages” and “Internet”. You can tap “+” to add more applications

    Lower the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

    1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
    2. Go to “Settings”
    3. Tap “Display” under “Quick Settings”
    4. Tap “Brightness” and clear the “Automatic brightness” check box if necessary
    5. Drag the brightness slider to the left and tap “OK”
    6. Tap “Screen timeout” and select a lower value, such as “15 seconds”

    Disable Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Hotspot, and GPS:

    NOTE: You can improve your phone’s battery life in the long run if you disable the connectivity features when they are not in use. This includes Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Hotspot, and GPS

    1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
    2. Go to “Settings”
    3. Swipe to “Network Connections” and tap “Tethering & Mobile Hotspot”
    4. Tap the Hotspot switch and set it to “OFF”
    5. Drag the “Status” bar down and tap the tiles associated with “Wi-Fi”, “Location”, “Bluetooth” to disable them

    Switch from 4G to 2G:

    1. From the phone’s “Settings” screen, swipe to “Network Connections”
    2. Tap “More networks”
    3. Tap “Mobile networks” > “Network mode”
    4. Tap “GSM only” to restrict connectivity to 2G

    Disable Background Data:

    1. Access the “Settings” menu
    2. Under “Network Connections”, tap “Data usage”
    3. Tap “Menu” > “Restrict background data”

    Change the Sync Settings:

    NOTE: You can increase battery life by setting your phone / accounts to sync less data.

    1. From the “Settings” menu, swipe to “User and Backup”
    2. Tap “Accounts”
    3. Access the “Accounts” tab
    4. Select the desired account and tap to adjust the available sync settings for the selected account type
    5. For more sync options, tap your “email address” or “user name” at the top of the screen

    Minimize the Use of Third Party Apps:

    NOTE: Some third party apps can affect your phone’s battery performance even when you don’t use them, assuming they run regular processes in the background. As such you can improve battery life by disabling or removing applications you rarely or never use.

    1. Open the apps drawer and go to “Settings”
    2. Swipe to “Applications”
    3. Tap “Application manager”
    4. Access the “Downloaded” tab
    5. Select the desired app and tap “Disable” to turn off the app, or “Uninstall” to completely remove it
