Install HTC Sync Manager on a Windows PC:

1. Launch the Internet browser on your computer
2. Visit HTC Sync Manager Overview | HTC United States
3. Download HTC Sync Manager and install it on your computer
4. Connect the Desire 728 to your computer via USB
5. After it connects, you should see the Desire 728 listed within HSM

Transfer Data from an iPhone via iTunes and HSM:

1. Connect the Desire 728 and iPhone to your PC via USB
2. Open HTC Sync Manager
3. In HSM, click “Home” > “Transfer & Backup”
4. Click “Get Started” and open iTunes
5. Using iTunes, back up the data on your iPhone
6. In HSM, click “Next” and browse for, then load the iPhone backup file
7. Click “OK”
8. Select the content you want to transfer from the iPhone
9. Click “Start”

Sync PC Data using HTC Sync Manager:

1. Establish a USB connection between the Desire 728 and computer
2. Launch HSM and click “Home”
3. Switch between the internal and external storage, if necessary
4. In HSM, click “Sync Settings” > “Files” > “Sync Settings”
5. Click “Sync documents from the following location on your computer”
6. Click “Add”
7. Select the files you want to sync and click “Refresh”

Export Files to your Computer via HSM:

1. Connect the Desire 728 to your computer via USB
2. Launch HTC Sync Manager
3. Click “Home” > “Sync Settings”
4. Select the phone’s internal or external storage
5. To export videos and photos, click “Gallery” > “Settings”
6. To export audio files, click “Music” > “Settings” > “Copy all music from phone”
7. Click “Refresh”

Sync Playlists and Data

NOTE: Using HTC Sync Manager you can sync bookmarks, events, and other file types between your computer and Desire 728. On a Windows machine, HSM can sync data from Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Outlook 2003 or newer, and Internet Explorer. On a Mac computer, you can use HSM to sync data from Address Book, Apple Calendar, Google Chrome, Outlook 2011 for Mac, Contacts, and iCal.

Sync Data:

1. Establish a USB connection between the Desire 728 and computer
2. Launch HSM and click “Home” > “Sync Settings”
3. Click the boxes associated with the desired items
4. If you want to change the sync settings, click “Settings”
5. To start the sync, click “Refresh”

Sync iTunes or Windows Media Player Playlists:

1. Connect the Desire 728 to your computer via USB
2. Launch HTC Sync Manager
3. Click “Home” > “Sync Settings”
4. Select the desired location to sync data
5. Click “Music” > “Settings” > “Sync selected playlist”
6. Choose the desired playlist and click “Refresh”
