Transfer Audio Files from a Windows PC:

    1. Establish a connection between the J7 and computer via USB
    2. If necessary, swipe the “status” bar down and enable “Media device (MTP)”
    3. In the AutoPlay window on the computer, double-click “open device to view files”
    4. Open a second Explorer window and locate the media files on your computer
    5. Copy the files, and transfer them on your phone (first Explorer window), preferably in the “Notification” / “Ringtones” folder(s)
    6. Once done, eject the phone storage from the system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB

Transfer Audio Files from a Mac Computer:

NOTE: Skip the first 4 steps if Samsung Kies is already installed on the Mac.

    1. Open the Internet browser on your Mac
    2. Visit Kies Support
    3. Click “Kies 3 for Mac” to download it
    4. Launch the Kies “dmg” file and follow the on-screen prompts to install Kies on the Mac
    5. Establish a USB connection between the J7 and computer via USB
    6. If necessary, enable “Media device (MTP)” from the “status” area on the phone
    7. Launch Kies on the computer
    8. Inside Kies, click the “Folder” icon associated with “Internal memory” or “External memory”
    9. Open the file explorer on the Mac and locate the desired audio files
    10. Drag the files and drop them in Kies
    11. Once the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage by dragging the virtual drive to the “trash can”, and safely disconnect the device from the USB

Add Transferred Audio Files to the Ringtone List:

    1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
    2. Access “Settings”
    3. Scroll to “Device” and tap “Sounds and notifications”
    4. Under “Sound”, tap “Ringtones and sounds”
    5. Tap “Ringtone” > “Add ringtone”
    6. Select “Sound picker” > “Always” or “Just once”
    7. Tap the music files you want to add to the ringtone list
    8. Tap “Done”

    Change the Phone’s Ringtone:

    1. Go to “Settings”
    2. Scroll to “Device”
    3. Tap “Sounds and notifications”
    4. Under “Sound”, tap “Ringtones and sounds”
    5. Tap “Ringtone” and select the desired ringtone
    6. When ready, tap “back” to save the changes

    Change a Specific Contact’s Ringtone:

    1. Launch “Contacts”
    2. Select the desired contact
    3. Tap “Edit” (icon shaped like a pencil)
    4. Tap “Ringtone”
    5. Select the desired ringtone and tap “OK”
    6. Tap “Save”

    2. Access “Settings”
    3. Tap “Sounds and notifications” under “Device”
