    Contact Management

    Create a Contact:

    1. Tap “Contacts” on the home screen
    2. Tap “+”
    3. Choose the location where you want to contact to be stored
    4. Enter the contact’s name, phone number, and other details in the appropriate fields
    5. When ready, tap the “check mark” button to save the contact

    Edit an Existing Contact:

    1. Open “Contacts”
    2. Tap and hold the desired contact
    3. Tap “Edit”
    4. Perform the necessary changes and when done, tap “check mark”

    Add a Contact to Speed Dial:

    1. Tap the “Dialer” icon on the home screen
    2. Tap the “menu” bars under “Dialer”, and select “Speed dial settings”
    3. Tap “+” and select the contact you want to add to speed dialing
    4. Tap and hold a number on the dial pad to associate the contact with it (NOTE: number key “1” is reserved for voicemail)

    Delete a Contact:

    1. Open “Contacts”
    2. Tap “Menu” > “Delete contact”
    3. Select the contacts you want to remove, or tap “Select all”
    4. Tap the “trash can” icon
    5. Tap “Delete contacts” to confirm

    Import / Export Contacts

    Import from Storage:

    1. Launch “Contacts”
    2. Tap “Menu” > “Import / Export”
    3. Select to “Import from storage”
    4. Select the .vcf file you want to import and tap “OK”

    Import from SIM:

    1. Launch “Contacts” and tap “Menu”
    2. Tap “Import / Export” and select “Import from SIM card”
    3. Select the contacts you want to import or tap “Select all”
    4. Tap the “Import” icon (showing an arrow in a square)
    5. Lastly, select the location where you want to import the contacts

    Import from a Bluetooth Device:

    1. Launch “Contacts” and tap “Menu”
    2. Tap “Import / Export” > “Import from another phone”
    3. Tap “Supports Bluetooth” > “Next”
    4. Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on the “sender” device and that it is visible to other Bluetooth devices
    5. Tap “Next” and the Mate S should start scanning for other Bluetooth devices
    6. Once found, tap the Bluetooth device from which you want to import contacts

    Import via Wi-Fi Direct:

    1. Open “Contacts”
    2. Tap “Menu” > “Import / Export” > “Import from another phone”
    3. Tap “Import via Wi-Fi Direct” > “Next”
    4. At the prompt, turn on Wi-Fi if necessary, and allow the phone to scan for Wi-Fi Direct devices
    5. Once found, tap the desired Wi-Fi Direct device to start importing contacts from it

    Export Contacts to the SIM Card:

    1. Open “Contacts” and tap “Menu”
    2. Tap “Import / Export” > “Export to SIM card”
    3. Select the desired contacts or tap “Select all”
    4. Tap the “Export” button depicting an arrow exiting a square
    5. Tap “OK”

    Manage Caller Groups

    Create a Caller Group:

    1. Launch “Contacts”
    2. Access “Groups”
    3. Tap “+” and enter a name for the contact
    4. Tap “OK”
    5. To start adding contacts to the group, tap “+”
    6. Select the desired contacts and tap the “check mark” button

    Edit an Existing Caller Group:

    1. Launch “Contacts”
    2. Tap “Groups” and select the desired group
    3. Tap “+” if you want to add a new contact to the group
    4. For more editing options, tap “Menu” and:
      • Tap “Remove members”
      • Tap “Delete group”
      • Tap “Rename”

    Delete a Caller Group:

    1. Open “Contacts” and access “Groups”
    2. Locate the group you want to remove
    3. Tap and hold the group, and tap “Delete groups”
    4. Tap “Delete groups” again to confirm
